Silicon Waha Launches Fourth Edition of “Waha Connect” at Sadat Technology City

Silicon Waha for Technology Parks has officially launched the fourth edition of “Waha Connect: Shaping the ICT Horizon” at Sadat Technology City.

The event brought together over 250 students from Delta Technological University, Sadat University, and Al Riada University, along with nearly 60 industry leaders, government officials, entrepreneurs, investors, and technology experts.

This year’s edition continues Silicon Waha’s mission to empower young talent, strengthen the role of technology as a driver of economic growth, and reinforce the position of technology parks as integrated innovation communities from the Delta to Upper Egypt.

Bridging Young Innovators and Industry Leaders

Waha Connect aims to create a direct bridge between students, entrepreneurs, investors, and major enterprises, providing a platform for university students to showcase their most promising innovative projects.

This initiative turns bright ideas into professional opportunities and helps emerging talent gain exposure to the wider tech ecosystem.

Enhancing Technology Parks’ Role in National Innovation

Eng. Hashim Mansi, CEO of Silicon Waha, emphasized that the fourth edition of Waha Connect marks a new milestone in supporting innovation nationwide.

“Through Waha Connect over the past year, we succeeded in linking students with entrepreneurs, investors, and technology leaders. We built a platform connecting innovative projects with top industry players—a real bridge between talent and opportunity,” he said.

Eng. Mansi added that Silicon Waha, as the national operator of the technology parks network, continues to foster a growth-ready environment unlocking opportunities for youth and enhancing collaboration between universities, companies, government entities, and the broader investment community.

The event featured a lineup of sessions and keynote presentations by leading experts in innovation, entrepreneurship, and advanced technologies. Highlights included:

  • Eng. Islam El-Fishawy, Chairman of Sadat City Board of Trustees and Senate Member, discussed the vital role of technology hubs in nurturing regional talent.

  • Eng. Karim Ghoneim, CEO of KMG, presented “Building & Scaling Industrial Excellence: KMG’s Journey in a Changing World”, demonstrating how engineering and technology redefine industry.

  • Prof. Ayman Eid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Graduate Studies & Research, explored entrepreneurship as a pillar of economic transformation in higher education.

  • Eng. Ahmed Mansour shared the journey of Microsystems AI, illustrating the growth of a global tech company from 7,000 EGP to international success.

The event also welcomed Mr. Ahmed Abdelaziz, Site Director at Teleperformance, who highlighted how AI-driven solutions are shaping the global digital business services industry.

Emerging startups presented cutting-edge solutions in smart manufacturing, digital health, and artificial intelligence, including:
