
Egypt has been confirmed as the host nation for the inaugural Ai Everything Middle East & Africa (MEA), set to take place from 10–12 February 2026 in Cairo. The event will be organised by GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest technology and AI network, and hosted by Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in strategic partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
Egypt Accelerates Its AI Leadership
Egypt has rapidly advanced its position in AI and machine learning, being ranked among the top 10 countries worldwide and the only African nation in that tier, according to the 2024 GBS World Competitiveness Index. The government is driving transformation through its National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (2025–2030), embedding AI across critical sectors such as:

Global Participation and Investment
The event will open with a high-level summit alongside a two-day immersive exhibition, designed to accelerate collaborative AI research and development, industry applications, startup scaling, global investment inflows, and digital capacity-building.
Tech giants such as Atos, Cyshield, HPE, and IBM will join the flagship AI event in Egypt. Over 200 venture capitalists managing assets worth more than US$1 trillion are expected to explore investment opportunities in Egyptian and regional startups.
Additionally, one of the region’s largest youth-tech academies will be launched, channeling fresh engineering talent into pilot projects and mentorship programs, empowering Egypt’s annual pool of more than 750,000 university graduates.

The inaugural Ai Everything MEA, taking place in Cairo from 10–12 February 2026, is organised by GITEX GLOBAL and hosted by Egypt’s MCIT in partnership with ITIDA.
