Garnest Launches in the Egyptian Market, Targeting Expansion and the Development of the Tourism Accommodation Sector

Ahmed Fazara: Garnest Targets 100,000 Customers and 10,000 Accommodation Units in Egypt

Egypt, September 7, 2026 — Garnest, a platform specializing in vacation rental bookings, is expanding across the Egyptian market after attracting more than 5,000 customers during its first two months of operation. The platform has also surpassed 500 listed accommodation units across Egypt.

Ahmed Fazara, Founder of Garnest, said the company aims to increase its customer base to 100,000 and grow the number of accommodation units listed on the platform to around 10,000 as part of its expansion strategy in Egypt’s vacation rental market.

Fazara explained that Garnest currently operates across Egyptian governorates and tourist destinations. The platform allows users to search for and book vacation accommodations based on the destination or tourist attraction they plan to visit, rather than restricting searches to a specific city or area.

The platform offers a variety of accommodation options, including chalets, holiday units, serviced apartments, apartments, rooms, and vacation homes. Users can view key details about each property, including prices, available amenities, and availability dates.

Connecting Accommodation with Tourist Destinations

According to Fazara, Garnest’s model enables users to begin their search by selecting the destination or tourist attraction they want to visit and then explore available accommodation options nearby. This approach is designed to simplify trip planning while connecting accommodation choices directly with the tourist destinations travelers intend to explore.

The platform also targets tourists visiting Egypt by allowing them to book accommodation in advance near the landmarks and destinations included in their travel plans.

Fazara revealed that Garnest is expanding its services beyond accommodation bookings to include travel-related activities and services, such as photography sessions, tours, tour guides, and transportation.

The company is also developing an interactive map that will help users discover accommodation options, tourist attractions, and nearby services based on their selected destination.

Supporting Accommodation Owners

On the supply side, Garnest enables accommodation owners and property managers to list their units on the platform. Owners can upload photos, property details, prices, amenities, and availability dates, helping them reach potential customers in the Egyptian market as well as international visitors.

Fazara said Garnest plans to expand into Gulf markets in 2027, following efforts to strengthen its presence in Egypt and increase the number of customers, listed accommodation units, and service providers on the platform.

The regional expansion strategy aims to take Garnest’s model into new markets while building on the platform’s experience in Egypt, where it launched with coverage across multiple governorates and tourist destinations.

Building on an Entrepreneurial Track Record

The launch of Garnest marks another step in Ahmed Fazara’s entrepreneurial journey. He previously launched ventures in the retail and healthtech sectors and brings around 10 years of experience in business development, partnership building, and leading growth initiatives.

Garnest is betting on a model that combines accommodation booking with destination discovery and related tourism services. Through this approach, the platform aims to build a network of 100,000 customers and 10,000 accommodation units in Egypt before expanding into Gulf markets.
