In a landmark step reflecting its commitment to digital innovation and cybersecurity, First Abu Dhabi Bank Misr (FABMISR) has announced the successful launch of the latest Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool, SailPoint IIQ, in partnership with Hemaya Information Technology. This makes FABMISR one of the first banks in Egypt to deploy such an advanced system, fully aligned with the Central Bank of Egypt’s Cybersecurity Framework.
The new IAM solution strengthens identity governance, enhances access security, and introduces automation to access rights management, setting a new standard for digital governance in Egypt’s banking sector.
A Milestone in Cybersecurity and Digital Governance
The initiative was achieved through strong collaboration between FABMISR’s technology leadership and Hemaya IT, with key figures including Bassel Kelada, COO of FABMISR, Mohamed Lasheen, Head of COO Business Management, and Ahmed El Sharkasy, Head of Identity and Applications Parameters Management.
The implementation is planned in two phases. The first phase has already integrated five core banking applications, while the second phase will extend to five additional systems. This structured rollout provides a more secure digital work environment and enhances protection of customer data against evolving cyber threats.
