Orange Egypt Partners with Cairo International Arts District to Support Art and Culture

Orange Egypt announces its official sponsorship of the fifth edition of the Cairo International Arts District (CIAD) Fair, organized by Art D’Égypte, a CulturVator initiative. The fair unfolds across historic venues in Khedivial Cairo from October 12 to November 16, showcasing innovative works by over 150 local and international artists, alongside an extensive program of cultural activities and cutting-edge art projects.

Orange Egypt’s Commitment to Art, Culture, and Community Engagement

This sponsorship underscores Orange Egypt’s dedication to supporting art, culture, and community development. It reflects the company’s continuous efforts to foster innovation and enrich social and cultural value through initiatives that integrate art and technology to enhance community engagement.

Orange Egypt proudly supports this major cultural event by providing comprehensive communication and connectivity services to promote the exhibition and ensure a seamless, efficient experience for artists, organizers, and visitors throughout its duration.

Celebrating Egypt’s Heritage through Revitalized Cultural Spaces

The fair takes place across several restored heritage landmarks in downtown Cairo, including Villa Victoria, Villa Violet, Welad El Balad, the rooftop of the Shorbagy Building, and Kodak Alley. Each site serves as a unique example of architectural restoration and cultural revitalization in the heart of Cairo.

Orange Egypt and UNESCO Empower Young Artists through the “Art Mentors” Program

In partnership with UNESCO, Orange Egypt supports the “Art Mentors” program, an initiative designed to engage art students, university students, and emerging creatives. The program aims to foster cultural exchange and highlight Egypt’s rich artistic heritage on the global stage.

Participants enjoy hands-on training in contemporary art and direct interaction with international artists. Upon completion, participants receive official certificates recognizing their creative contributions.

The program also features educational lectures, digital art seminars, and organized school and university visits—forming part of a broader vision to make art more accessible and inclusive while reflecting the cultural diversity of modern societies.

Orange Egypt’s Leadership Perspective

Maha Nagy, Chief Communications Officer at Orange Egypt, stated:

“At Orange, we believe that art is the language of the future, and that technology and art together create a more creative reality. We are proud to continue supporting initiatives such as the Cairo International Arts District, reflecting our commitment to empowering young artists and providing them with opportunities to share their talent and creativity locally and globally. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen Egypt’s position as a vibrant cultural hub in the region and worldwide.”

Orange Egypt’s Legacy of Supporting Cultural and Social Initiatives

Orange has previously supported the “Le Printemps des Artistes” art and charity exhibition for three consecutive years under the patronage of the French Embassy in Egypt. This year’s edition brought together more than 79 artists from Egypt and around the world in a celebration of creativity and social solidarity.

Proceeds from the exhibition were directed to Samusocial International Égypte, a non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting and rehabilitating street children and young women in Cairo.

Through ongoing engagement in such initiatives, Orange Egypt reaffirms its strong commitment to art, culture, and social responsibility, emphasizing its belief in the power of creativity to make a positive impact on society.

South Korea Featured as Guest of Honor

For the first time, the Cairo International Arts District Exhibition features South Korea as its guest of honor. Sponsored by the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), this segment showcases six leading South Korean contemporary artists, celebrating three decades of cultural and diplomatic relations between Egypt and South Korea.

Orange Egypt continues to bridge the worlds of technology and art—empowering culture, creativity, and innovation across Egypt and beyond.
