From the Arab League: BWE21 kicks off “She Leads 360°” to foster global alliances in AI, Green Innovation, and Sustainable Trade

Under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the 11th Annual Conference of the Businesswomen of Egypt 21 (BWE21) officially launched today at the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo. Held in collaboration with the Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM), this year’s theme, “She Leads 360°: Cross-Cultural Leadership in a Connected World,” sets a new global benchmark for women’s economic integration and leadership.

Taking place from April 23 to 26 across Cairo and Alexandria, the conference features an elite gathering of women leaders, decision-makers, and entrepreneurs representing over 45 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the USA, Korea, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Government Support: A Strategic Investment in Stability

Representing the Prime Minister, Eng. Margaret Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity, emphasized that women’s economic empowerment is no longer just a social goal but a “mandatory necessity” for inclusive economic growth. She noted that providing equal opportunities in the labor market is a direct investment in the stability and prosperity of nations, reinforcing women’s roles as architects of social peace and value-driven leadership.

Dr. Yomna El Sheridy, President of BWE21, stated that hosting the FCEM World Committee Meeting in Egypt for the first time reflects the global community’s profound confidence in the Egyptian experience. She noted that the progress achieved in financial inclusion and entrepreneurship support has significantly bolstered women’s presence in both national and global economic landscapes.

The conference is supported by a massive coalition of partners, including major financial institutions like EBank, Banque Misr, and Banque du Caire, alongside global tech and energy giants like ExxonMobil and Capgemini. This synergy between the public and private sectors underscores Egypt’s commitment to translating empowerment from dialogue into tangible economic outcomes.
