Huawei has officially concluded the second edition of the 2025 Huawei Developers Competition in Northern Africa. The regional finals, held at The Imhotep Innovation Centre in the New Administrative Capital, highlighted Egypt’s growing leadership in the digital economy and cloud innovation.
Team Vulnera Wins First Place for Cybersecurity Innovation
The prestigious first prize was awarded to Team Vulnera, a collaboration between Alexandria University and Kafr El-Sheikh University. Their winning project is a proactive cybersecurity platform designed to manage and mitigate vulnerabilities using Huawei Cloud technologies.
Dominance of Egyptian Talent in Northern Africa
After an intense evaluation process, Egyptian teams dominated the 2025 edition, securing the top five positions. The winners demonstrated exceptional skills in AI and cloud-based solutions across various sectors:
- First Prize: Team Vulnera (Egypt)
- Second Prize: Team AIX and Team AtosFit (Egypt)
- Third Prize: Team Tekronyx, Team Sightmate, and Team Nerd_People (Ethiopia)
- Innovation Award: Team SIRAJSOFT (Algeria), Team NeoGen (Morocco), and Team CloudV2.2.2.
