Huawei is expanding its digital footprint in Egypt and Northern Africa with the re-launch of the Cairo OpenLab at its new and larger premises in Cairo Festival City. This strategic move reinforces Huawei’s commitment to driving AI and Cloud-powered innovation and accelerating regional digital transformation.
A Hub for Co-Creation and Industry Innovation
Originally established in December 2017 in Smart Village, Cairo OpenLab serves as a regional hub for co-creation, R&D, and strategic partnerships. The lab enables Huawei to collaborate closely with local and regional partners, developing industry-specific, scenario-based digital solutions tailored to the needs of the Egyptian and North African markets.
To date, Cairo OpenLab has developed over 20 industry solutions, empowering partners to embrace a culture of digital transformation. These solutions cover key areas such as public safety, smart grids, smart cities, e-government, healthcare, water management, and smart education, showcasing how AI and Cloud technologies are reshaping industries and enhancing public services.
